The Resurrection Garden

Following our journey of practicing resurrection through investing in, caring for and working alongside God's creation to bring back to life these dry bones.

When we first moved onto our fantastic property in 2011, this was the sight of the back wall. The ground was dry, filled with rocks and broken pieces of brick and covered in our neighbour's rubbish. And while my eyes were seeing a garbage dump, my heart was seeing land that had the potential to become a thriving ecological space that would not only look beautiful but could feed my family with rich, organic food; something that is sadly scarce around these parts.

I'd love to share with you my on going journey of breathing some life back into this little space and hopefully resurrecting it into a beautiful and productive garden. Along the way I'll share many of the obstacles, experiments, successes and failures I've had as well as some of the surprises that come along when trying to garden organically in a culture that is addicted to synthetic fertilisers and artificial pesticides.

So if you are passionate about organic food and gardening then I hope you'll enjoy following my misadventures in the world of redemptive gardening as much as I've enjoyed making them.

    1. Well it is possible for foreigners to buy land in India (as far as I'm aware) but personally I wouldn't do it as the headache involved in working your way through the Indian bureaucracy.. aye aye aye! So we were just renting, however this did lead to our Landlord's friend encouraging them to kick us off the property.. which they did.. because we had invested so much of our time, money and love into making the place beautiful that they figured they would kick us out and turn it into a hotel for tourists. Very very sad but has also lead to some exciting and beautiful new things (ie; moving to Thailand) so there has been a pretty wonderful silver lining!
